Not many people can say they love their job - I have been blessed to be one of those people. I started sewing at the age of seven. I made my prom dress, homecoming dresses and other formal wear throughout school. I later made my wedding dress, and a few other wedding dresses for friends. I had a variety of careers, but always have sewn as a hobby.  I am a Coast Guard veteran (14 amazing years) and have also worn an Army uniform working for the LANG Youth Challenge Program. Upon relocating to Minden, LA I found myself in a position to make a new career. I started out doing some small costuming jobs, and then things just grew from there!  Next thing I know, a customer convinced me to open a shop in historic Minden, on the brick road of Main Street. In the summer of 2012, I opened It's Sew Monica, LLC and quit my full time job six weeks later. I have continued to be blessed in my business and although we can sew most anything, I specialize in Bridal alterations.  The ladies that work with me are very talented and love the business as much as I do!
